Beach Week, the conclusion

Sadly, beach week is over.  We had a great trip.  In case you're curious, almost 4 and almost 6 are the ages at which the parents can finally begin to relax on a vacation.  Very nice.

Some lessons towards the end of the week included:

Manatee Feeding Time 

We read that they are the only large sea mammal herbivores - they seemed to like the lettuce!

Sea Stars - perfect timing after just reading a book and writing a page in our ocean books about them!

I'll admit to mixed feelings about this one, but my side that was so proud of my brave girl won out this time!  Next year, we might focus our studies on dolphins in captivity...or maybe after Lucy's turn.

Of course, we had to add a page about the adventure to our book!
