Ft. Worth Zoo

Today was Homeschool Day at the amazing Ft. Worth zoo!  So even though we are leaving early tomorrow morning, we made it happen!  It turned out to be a beautiful and fun day.  Some highlights...

Watching the mommy gorilla run over, drag her baby off the rope ladder and carry it over to the shade so she could finish grooming her.  I related.

Zoe's favorite: Zebras!

Lucy's very very very favorite: Giraffes!

Pink flamingos (two got in a big fight!)

And the wonderful homeschool presentation.  We got to see a vulture, opossum (which Zoe deemed the cutest animal she has ever seen in her whole life!), a crocodile, owl, and penguin up close and personal.

This crocodile and Zoe are watching each other.

Jack the penguin

A milk snake from Mexico (which Lucy informed the zookeeper was where she was born and where she was going tomorrow.  I don't think she really believed her.)

And a perfect lunch date afterwards.  Thanks Blake and Craig!

Have a good week - we are off to the beach!
