Today, our great little group went to the farm! We had a fun time meeting some new animals, playing, having a picnic, and enjoying the beautiful fall weather.
We got to touch some interesting animals: a dove, a ferret, a bearded dragon, and a few others. Lucy loved the gecko and everyone was very interested in learning that his tail could come off!
Olivia and Avery touching the gecko - very brave girls.
The hedgehog was Lucy's favorite.
Zoe opted out of touching the hedgehog. She started out brave but got a little wary after a bit.
We went outside to feed the pigs and goats. Some of the tamer ones were in the pen with us. We were worried this fella would leap over to get the bread! Lucy was worried he would eat her bracelet but was relieved he only went for the bread.
Can you spot the 5 year old waaaaay in the background? Sigh.
The whole gang! They are so big!
Lucy and Allie relaxing in the hammock before lunch.
While the "little ones" ate, Zoe did a great job reading her farm book. She was very proud of herself!
After some more playtime, it was time to head home. What a perfect day!
Look like a lot of fun! You need to read Lucy B. Potter's Mrs. Tiggywinkle (our favorite hedgehog story—from the deep canon of hedgehog literature).
